In Memory of Jeremiah True Harrell

Taps

Day is done, gone the sun,
From the lake, from the hills, from the sky;
All is well, safely rest, God is nigh.

Fading light, dims the sight,
And a star gems the sky, gleaming bright.
From afar, drawing nigh, falls the night.

Thanks and praise, for our days,
'Neath the sun, 'neath the stars, neath the sky;
As we go, this we know, God is nigh.

While the light fades from sight,
And the stars gleaming rays softly send,
To thy hands we our souls, Lord, commend.

Today the family gathered to celebrate the short and blessed life of Jeremiah True Harrell, first child of our son Jeremy and his wife Elisha. He was born in joy, with no problems expected, only to be termed critical immediately and taken from them barely ninety minutes later. His service today was as beautiful as it was heart breaking.

Beautiful! I've never thought of Taps in this way, but it is perfectly appropriate. My heart has been with your family all day. I'm glad it was a beautiful service. I hope to hear more about it in the future. My prayers are still with your whole family, and will be for a long time.

Kathleen,

So beautiful to see "Taps" written out. It is a simple but extremely beautiful piece, with words of perfection. And for you, I share tears, but mostly compassion, for little Jeremiah True Harrell was like a beautiful melody borne into this World, but a melody which ended far too soon.

I truly care, Kathleen, more than you shall ever know. I myself had several miscarriages before my first Julie, and after my second child, Neil. But this message is meant for your loss, and I pray you do gather strength each day.

Lots of Love and Hugs and Prayers for you all. Anita
