Post challenge

  1. As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I have had together. It doesn’t matter if you knew me a little or a lot, if we’ve actually met in person or not. Just write anything you remember!
  2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see the fun memories people leave!

I remember jamming in Borchard Park at a picnic. Good times.

I remember when we were moving from Arizona and you guys came to help us by driving the truck all the way across the country. I think it was the night before we left, you guys took us out to dinner, and then we went back to our empty apartment and laughed and laughed. Dad was trying so hard to pretend to be asleep, but couldn't keep from laughing and then put a hand through the styrofoam ice chest, and we were all laughing so hard. That was a fun night.

I had forgotten about that one! That poor pathetic little styrofoam ice chest! Weren't you going to give that to us?

Ruth's memory reminded me of something similar... I remember when you and dad came to visit us after Ashley was born, and we went downstairs to go somewhere (not sure where), and dad accused Marv of stealing one of his shoes because there weren't any matching shoes there. It took several minutes to realize that not only had Marv not taken one of his shoes, but dad had had mismatching shoes on for nearly a week. We all laughed really, really hard.

Dad may have wet himself.

After sitting next to each other playing guitar every week for several months (amid the other instruments), you commented on our different picking styles, "When we play guitar together we sound like a great 12-string guitar!"

Besides the amazing baby blankies and such, I remember you giving us a guitar Christmas songbook. It still comes out every year and John uses it to practice his playing.

When I think of Kathleen, I think of MUSIC and good humor. Another memory is your beautiful home in the mountains surrounded by God's creations...I love sitting there by the window looking out...very relaxing.
